Apple Pencil for iPad is a stylus specifically designed by Apple for their tablets. Apple claims that it offers “pixel perfect precision” on iPad devices. You can use the stylus for taking notes, creating arts and much more. Apple guarantees that the Apple pencil has zero lag when you use it with your iPad.
A new report by The Korea Herald suggests that Apple might be considering to bring the Apple Pencil to iPhone as well. The new stylus will take advantage of the big screen of iPhone X and might be different from the Apple Pencil for iPad. Apple is planning to bring a “supercapacitor stylus type” which will make it more affordable and technology will be different from the S pen offered with Note 8. Currently, the Note 8 is the only smartphone to come with a stylus, that makes it different from other phones in the market. Now Apple is moving forward to introduce its own stylus but you might have to purchase it separately. Like the current Apple Pencil does not come with iPad, you have to purchase it separately for $100 (Yes, $100 for a pen).
Steve Jobs opposed the idea of Stylus back when he was the CEO. But styluses were different back then. They were mainly used for input mechanism. But now the Styluses are all about creating animations and drawings.
Here’s what the Korea Herald report said.
“Apple is mulling something that its late founder Steve Jobs had outright rejected — adding a stylus to its iPhone, according to industry sources on Oct. 13.”
“Apple is preparing to launch the phone as early as 2019,” an industry source told The Investor on condition of anonymity. “It is also in talks with a couple of stylus makers for a partnership.”
