Apple to launch iPhone SE 2 in early 2018

The original iPhone SE was an exception to the all the iPhone devices launched until now. It was released at the start of 2016 while all other iPhones are launched in September or October. Moreover, it was a cheaper and trimmed down iPhone so that more people can afford it. Apple did not release a successor to the iPhone SE last year but it looks like the company is finally planning to bring the iPhone SE 2 after 2 years of original iPhone SE.

Several reports have confirmed the existence of iPhone SE and a new report claims that the phone will be released in Q1 2018. Which means that we are just 4 months away from the iPhone SE 2 at max. The old iPhone SE was released in March 2016, so we can expect that the new iPhone will also come in March 2018. The phone is expected to come with a 4-inch display (Some reports also suggest a 4.2-inch display). The display resolution could be same as of the original iPhone SE. It is expected to feature an Apple A10 chipset (The same chipset used in iPhone 7 and 7 Plus). As it will be a cheaper iPhone, so you should not expect the latest hardware.

Moreover, it might come in the old shape, you should not expect the bezel-less display from a cheap iPhone device. The phone’s camera is also expected to get a major upgrade and it will also be capable of making at least 2160p@30fps videos and will come with iOS 11 out of the box. Keeping the Apple’s support strategy in mind, we can say for sure that the device will be supported for software updates for at least 4 years. Interestingly, the device will be manufactured in India and will be sold worldwide.

Apple is also planning to bring 3 new versions of iPhone X in 2018. One of them will be an iPhone X successor with the same 5.8 inch OLED display. The 2nd one will have a bigger, 6.5-inch OLED display and it will be even more expensive. The third one will be a cheaper version of iPhone X and will come with an LCD panel. iPhone X faced a lot of issues before and after its launch. Like it faced production issues because its demand was very high but Apple quickly solved the issue. Later on, some iPhone X devices starting causing different problems but none of them could affect the Apple’s most expensive phone’s hype and it is still selling like hot cakes.
