Apple fans may have to wait just a little bit more as it turns out that the much awaited iPhone 8‘s public release may have been delayed till November.
Apple typically rolls out its flagship devices in September. However, a Japanese site Mac Otakara, stated that the iPhone 8 will begin shipping in the October-November time period. But fans can expect the smartphone to be unveiled alongside the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus at the Apple event scheduled between September 7th to 9th. The sales for the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus are expected to begin around September 17th. But if you had an eye out for the iPhone 8 you might have to wait just a little bit more.
Mac Otakara, citing sources in supply chain and accessory makers, has suggested that the iPhone 8 may only be rolling out in the black color. One of the many rumors surrounding the smartphone included that Apple may be killing the Home button and its place could be taken by the Touch ID in the form of a side button. There was also speculation that the Touch ID could be incorporated into the display of the device. However, it appears Apple may have been unsuccessful in achieving that and could have replaced the Touch ID feature with facial recognition. Reports on this front are still mixed.
As always speculation among the public runs very high prior to the launch of any of Apple’s flagships. Recently, a dummy video surfaced which suggested that the iPhone 8 could have a bezel-less display which was previously unheard of in Apple devices. There have also been leaks according to which the smartphone could have a mirror-like body and a price tag of $1,100.
With September fast approaching, we’ll soon find out how much truth there was to all these rumors and whether the iPhone 8 sales really will start in November. Happy waiting!
