Apple iPhone 16 series PTA Tax and Price in Pakistan [Sep 2024 Update]

The highly anticipated iPhone 16 series, which comprises the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, has been officially launched by Apple. The announcement was made on September 9, 2024, at Apple Park in Cupertino during the “It’s Glowtime” event.

The iPhone 16 series is equipped with the state-of-the-art A18 Pro processor, which powers enhanced display sizes, advanced camera capabilities, and immersive gaming graphics. Apple Intelligence, an advanced personal intelligence system that delivers personalized insights while maintaining stringent user privacy standards, is introduced in the new iPhone 16 models.

Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Greg Joswiak stated that, “The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, powered by the faster A18 Pro chip and Apple Intelligence, are the most advanced iPhone models we have ever built.”

Apple iPhone 16 series PTA Tax in Pakistan

The tax imposed by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on iPhone 16 models depends on whether users choose to register using their passport or CNIC. The iPhone 16 Pro Max stands out with the highest PTA tax compared to other models. Ensuring timely payment of the PTA tax is crucial to avoid incurring penalties. It is advised to settle the tax within 30 days for passport registration and within 60 days for CNIC registration.

Apple iPhone 16 series Availability in Pakistan

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be offered in a range of captivating finishes, such as black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium. The new range iPhones will be available in Pakistan by October.

There is a wide range of storage options available, starting from 128GB and going all the way up to a massive 1TB. The highly anticipated iOS 18 is set to make its global debut on Monday, September 16th. This eagerly awaited software update will be available to users around the world, including Pakistan, completely free of charge.

Are international travelers required to pay PTA Tax on Apple iPhone 16 smartphones?

No, according to the recently introduced feature added to the original DIRBS, international travelers or overseas Pakistanis are allowed to temporarily register their phones for 120 days, each time they visit Pakistan, so there is no need to pay the PTA tax.
