Apple iOS 11.1 causing trouble for many users

As we recently reported that Apple has released iOS 11.1 with new emojis and security update but within a week several reports from different users have claimed their iPhones are draining more battery after the update.

iOS 11.1 update has come with amazing new emojis which include many trend-setting ideas like a woman with a headscarf, a fairy emoji, and a zombie. This update has resolved some security issues and fixed some bugs too, but has also started draining battery life which is quite frustrating for many users.

Some iPhone and iOS users are also reporting installation problems slow speed, issues with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and specifically faster battery drain.

Previously the problem was limited to only in 2016 iPhones and older models, but now iPad and iPhone 8/iPhone 8 Plus users are complaining various problems after the update.

Many users have reported to Apple support on Twitter, one user says, “After upgrading to iOS 11.1 my battery drains very fast. I’ve followed battery optimisation tips but didn’t work. Any ideas?”

Like all iOS 11 releases, iOS 11.1 is compatible with iPhone 5S or later, iPad mini 2 or later and the 6th generation iPod touch or later. Some users are also facing issues in installing this update.

It is suggested that even battery drains on iOS 11 too much to tolerate, yet switching back to iOS 10.3.3. is not a good idea at all. The more up to date your software, the more protected you are from hackers attempting to exploit your device and infiltrate your personal and corporate data.
