After the report by Bloomberg that Apple has reduced the accuracy of Face ID in iPhone X to speed up the production process, Apple has denied the report claiming that quality and accuracy of Face ID are not compromised.
Apple was facing serious trouble since past couple of weeks regarding the production of iPhone X. The major issue was finding suppliers to provide delicate and complex 3D sensors and circuits compatible for integrating into the device. Apple was having issues in finding suppliers who could meet the production demand and make these circuits at large scale.

The issue became a trending topic when Bloomberg reported that Apple will compromise on its Face ID’s accuracy and quality to boost the production process.
Apple’s spokesperson denying their report via email states,
“Customer excitement for iPhone X and Face ID has been incredible, and we can’t wait for customers to get their hands on it starting Friday, November 3. Face ID is a powerful and secure authentication system that’s incredibly easy and intuitive to use. The quality and accuracy of Face ID haven’t changed. It continues to be 1 in a million probability of a random person unlocking your iPhone with Face ID. Bloomberg’s claim that Apple has reduced the accuracy spec for Face ID is completely false and we expect Face ID to be the new gold standard for facial authentication.”
For now, it appears that Apple has clarified the situation and hopefully Apple’s fans will not face any trouble while using the device after its launch on November 3. Just to recall your memory Face ID in iPhone X has a complex 3D sensor, which consists of a dot projector, an infrared camera, and a flood illuminator. The projector flashes 30,000 dots on the face to decide whether to unlock the device or not.
Apple has already launched iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. These devices didn’t meet the expectations in their sales, the possible reason is the preference of people buying iPhone 7 with almost similar specs and anticipation of iPhone X with upgraded features.
