Finally, Android Oreo released for LG V30 and V30+

LG V30 was one of the best smartphones by the South Korean tech giant, which gained immense popularity with respect to its camera capabilities and large battery life, that it stands quite close to the likes of Galaxy S8 Active and iPhone 8 Pus in battery test results. The flagship LG V30 was under test by Oreo beta program, last month. As of now, the final build of Android 8.0 Oreo has started rolling out for LG V30.

The LG V30 has a 5.7-inches OLED display. Since the South Korean giant has been working on its OLED displays for quite a while, yet these displays are not even close to the quality, Samsung is providing in Galaxy S8 and Note 8.

The Oreo update has a size of around 1412 MB. The software update is available both as an OTA and a download. However, if you want to install it manually, you may need to use the LG Bridge software on your PC. As expected, the Oreo update is bringing bring numerous new features and improvements to both the LG V30 and the V30+.

The new features which came along Android 8.0 Oreo update will enable the devices for Picture-in-Picture and Notification dots features. Smart text selection will also be the part of the update. Battery optimizations through software will make an improvement in battery life and overall system performance.

A month ago, LG started an OS Preview program and successfully tested the new Oreo software on more than 500 devices. However, this stable update includes an improved sound source LDAC that will minimize sound loss.

For now, the users in the company’s home South Korea are getting the Android 8.0 update, which will be later released with OTA to all regions.
