AirPod exploded! Apple investigating the incident

It’s almost a month that an iPhone’s battery exploded at an Apple store and now, it seems Cupertino giant has another case on its table for research. Recently, it was reported that a Florida resident was working out in a gym while listening to some dance music using AirPods when he noticed smoke emerging from the right ear. He suddenly took off both the sides, placed them down and went to seek help. When he came back, the smoking AirPod had already seemingly blown up.

The man told WFLA, “It was already like this. It was already popped. I didn’t see it happen, but I mean, it was already fried! You can see flame damage,

Luckily, the owner sensed the smoked and removed the AirPods in time. Otherwise, it could have led to a fatal ear injury.

“I don’t know what would’ve happened to my ear,” he said. “But I’m sure since it hangs down, my earlobe could’ve been burnt.”

As yet, it is unknown that what caused this explosion. The news has been shared with Apple and a company’s spokesperson says that the firm is investigating the matter and will contact the owner for more information.

The reason could be a technical glitch or an issue developed as a result of handling of the AirPods.
