Air Sial, one of Pakistan’s leading private airlines, has officially launched its weekly flights from Islamabad to Riyadh, enhancing connectivity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The airline is set to operate two flights per week on this route, with plans for flights from Lahore to the Saudi capital to commence soon.
“Pakistani airline, Air Sial has commenced weekly flights to the Saudi capital Riyadh from Islamabad, with two flights per week,” Air Sial said. “The management has announced that flights to Lahore will also start soon.”
Rana Muhammad Masoom, Pakistan’s Welfare Attaché, presided over the inauguration of Air Sial’s regional office in Riyadh this week. The ceremony was attended by community members and Air Sial’s management team, which underscored the airline’s dedication to meeting the requirements of Pakistani expatriates in Saudi Arabia.
To mark the occasion, a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony was conducted to mark the commencement of these new weekly flights and the expectation of future expansion to additional cities.
“A cake-cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the start of the weekly flights from Riyadh to Islamabad, and it was announced that new flights to Lahore and other cities will be launched soon,” the airline concluded.
The new airline, Air Sial was founded in 2020 by the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Air Sial was developed to offer more air connectivity for passengers traveling to/from the Sialkot Punjab industrial hub. The airline boasts a modern fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft, ensuring a comfortable flying experience for its passengers.
Every year, thousands of Pakistani families and others thousands travel to Saudi Arabia either for employment, to visit their relatives, or to perform the Umrah pilgrimage at Islam’s holiest sites in Makkah and Madina, Saudi Arabia.
The introduction of Air Sial will also give another more economical way to travel for Pakistanis, thus joining other Pakistani airlines that already directly connect Islamabad with Saudi Arabia’s main cities of Jeddah, Riyadh, etc., therefore, are contributing to religious tourism and fostering the relations between the two countries.
