Just a couple of minutes ago, Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook has announced the launch of 360 photos on Facebook.
The social media giant announced last month that 360-degree photos will be coming to news feed very soon. Anyone with a phone with the capability to capture panorama photos will be able to upload such pictures. Nowadays, every smartphone has panorama picture option — anyone can be a 360-degree picture photographer. For viewers, through tilting and moving, you will be able to explore the 360-degree pictures.
Facebook has been pushing 360-degree videos for a while and now their recent 360-degree pictures move is going to take things to the next level. The point to consider here is whether users will embrace it.
Facebook thinks that 360-degree content is a great means to share details of the important moment in lives. With more than 1 billion users, Facebook has a very strong position to push anything it deems good. Most recently, we have seen that with Virtual Reality, 360 Degree content and Facebook Live feature.
