Adobe Firefly Simplifies Editing for 10,000 Images at a Time

Adobe has launched “Firefly Bulk Create,” a new generative AI tool designed to revolutionize labor-intensive production tasks. By automating processes like editing large batches of images and translating video presentations, this innovative solution aims to enhance productivity for creatives and marketers alike. Developed by integrating Adobe’s Firefly-powered APIs, Bulk Create makes advanced capabilities accessible even to those without technical expertise.

Remove Background

The “Remove Background” feature enables users to quickly eliminate or replace the backgrounds of as many as 10,000 images with just one click. Users can upload files directly from their computer, Dropbox, or Adobe Experience Manager, allowing for the swift removal of any unwanted elements.

This feature holds significant value for product marketers, enabling them to replace backgrounds with tailored images or colors to generate variations that are primed for additional editing. Files are available for saving in PNG or JPEG formats, and there are plans to support Photoshop PSD files in the future.

Resize

The “Resize” tool provides specific dimensions tailored for popular platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. By leveraging generative AI, it modifies image dimensions by expanding backgrounds to meet the necessary sizes. Despite its limitations, like warping in intricate images, this tool stands out as a practical choice for straightforward backgrounds, allowing graphic designers to save time on manually resizing assets for different platforms.

Adobe’s Bulk Create tool, which is currently in beta, marks a notable advancement in the automation of creative workflows. In addition to Bulk Create, Adobe is set to roll out new developer APIs for Firefly Services in the upcoming weeks, providing developers with tools to enhance video and print production workflows.

“Dubbing and Lip Sync” offers the ability to translate and adjust lip movements for video audio in 14 languages, while a new InDesign tool streamlines the formatting of text and images for both print and digital media through the use of predefined templates. This month, users will have access to “digital avatars” that are crafted from text descriptions and voice recordings. These avatars can be utilized for presenting videos and product explainers.

Editing large batches of up to 10,000 images is likely to demand considerable processing power. Adobe has announced that the upcoming tools will be offered under a consumption-based pricing model, which will probably necessitate users to subscribe to a premium Adobe Firefly plan. This strategy will incorporate generative credits that can be utilized to unlock these enhanced functionalities.
