The Aman Foundation has launched a new startup acceleration program to focus on healthcare startups in Pakistan.
With an aim to build low-cost, yet sustainable, clinics in urban cities across the country, the AmanClinics Accelerator is basically a business plan competition. The organization wants to encourage Pakistani entrepreneurs and catalyze the building up of a full-scale network of high-quality, low-cost, sustainable primary healthcare facilities all over Pakistan. To make it even more appealing, the competition offers a lot in terms of prizes for the startups that manage to win it.
The top three teams will win PKR 500,000, 200,000 and 100,000 respectively. The $200,000 in seed funding will be offered to a Management Team of choice by the Aman Foundation (comprising of winning team members and/or other team members). The Management team will be offered a contractual employment and sweat-equity shares.

After submission of applications, you will have to submit a two pages summary of your innovative business idea by Saturday, 13th February 2016, 11:59 p.m. Also keep in mind that the target market is for people with a maximum income of $5 per day. The AmanClinics Review team will review these applications, shortlisting a total of 10 team, who will then be assigned mentors to give feedback and guidance in a counseling capacity to prepare the final business plan.
After that, the teams will have to submit an executive summary in March and then the final business plan in April. On 30th April at the final event, the winners will be announced.

With a lack of basic healthcare facilitie sin Pakistan, a lot of startups have sprung up in this field. This competition is another good step in promoting these startups and their goal to fulfill the healthcare needs of the underserved people of Pakistan.
