Now you can reshare Instagram posts to stories

Instagram is finally allowing a crossover between its stories and newsfeed. Now you can share the posts you see in your feed as an Instagram story. When you share someone’s Instagram post to your story, the re-sharing featuring will allow you to add commentary and tag other accounts, just like a regular Instagram story. Now you do not have to take a screenshot to share a post on your story.

How does it work?

Just like you used the paper plane icon to send a post through a direct message, now it will allow you to directly share the post to your Instagram story. The post being shared will transform itself into a sticker that can be used with a customized background. You can also move, rotate and resize the sticker post.

Once posted, the viewers will be able to see the original user account of the post and visit their Instagram page. However, you can only reshare posts to a story that belong to a public Instagram account. If you do not want your posts to be shared, you can always opt out of the feature.

Android users will get the feature today, while it will be rolled out for iOS users in the coming days. Instagram has been introducing new features lately to make the app a one-way street to share everything visual! You can also add an emoji slider and soon you will be able to integrate music into your stories.
