Who says you need a big budget to enjoy the South Korean tech giant, Samsung’s smartphones? The largest mobile manufacturer in the world has announced its latest mid-range smartphones, the A6 (2018) and A6+ (2018) and they are for those who like Samsung’s designs but aren’t all about the cost that comes with the Galaxy S9 Series and the expensive Note Series.
Samsung A Series 2018 is getting two new additions in the form of A6 and A6+, both of which arrive with “powerful front and rear cameras” to give users impressive photos from mid-range devices.
Samsung Galaxy A6
Samsung Galaxy A6 has a 5.6″ display and has a 720×1,480 resolution. The phone features a single 16 MP f/1.7 rear shooter and a 16 MP f/1.9 selfie snapper with an LED flash of its own. The smartphone has an all-glass body that gives a premier feel.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core 1.6 GHz CPU, with 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage, depending on the model you purchase. Although the device supports microSD expansion, with cards up to 256GB in size. The A6 also features a 3,000 mAh battery and its dimensions are 149.9 x 70.8 x 7.7 mm. The smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo.
Samsung Galaxy A6+
The bigger sibling of A Series of the family boasts a 6-inch screen along with 1,080×2,220 resolution, and a dual rear camera setup, with one 16 MP f/1.7 sensor and one 5 MP f/1.9 unit.
Selfies are taken care of by a 24 MP f/1.9 camera, also with an LED flash. The A6+ features a slightly beefier 1.8 GHz octa-core processor, and the exact same RAM/storage versions as its smaller sibling A6. The battery of A6+ is 3,500 mAh, while the A6+’s dimensions are 160.2 x 75.7 x 7.9 mm. The smartphone also runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.
The Galaxy A6 Series support LTE Cat.6 with 2CA, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS.
What Samsung did not announce is the price of the A6 Series. but A6 and A6+ they will be rumored to be under 40,000 rupees and 50,000 rupees respectively. Although A6 Series will be available in black, gold, blue, and Lavender. A6+’s dual camera enables bokeh effects before or even after the shot is taken, with unique background blur patterns including a range of shapes such as hearts and stars.
The devices have Dolby Atmos optimized sound (on headphones only) as well as Bixby Vision, Bixby Home, Bixby Reminder, and Samsung Pay support. We don’t know when the A6 Series will arrive in Pakistan but they will be released in early May in selective markets such as Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
