Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are just a couple of days away to be showcased at MWC and we know almost everything about the flagships. Of course, not everything, and in the list of those few unknown things comes the price of the smartphone too. Samsung will officially announce the price of flagship when it will unveil the new flagship on February 25 in Barcelona, until then for an early guess we have got a suggestion by a new leak.
The leak concludes that Samsung Galaxy S9 is going to be slightly costlier than Apple’s iPhone X. And who is the leakster? None other than your favorite Evan Blass. He revealed two images of phones on his Twitter account, allegedly Galaxy S9 with a price tag of €841 and Galaxy S9+ with a whopping €997 price tag.
Apple’s 10th-anniversary smartphone, iPhone X with a price tag of $999, has been the most talked about product of the company, since the past few months. Regardless of its expensiveness, people rushed towards the stores to this so-called ‘innovative’ product. Now, the leak suggests that Samsung will follow Apple’s footprints and Galaxy S9 will cost you around $1,030, whereas the Plus version will go out of reach for many as it will cost around $1,225. I’m not saying anything, just explaining what leakster wants to say!

Meanwhile, another interesting scenario that we possibly face when the Galaxy S9 variants will make their ways to major and emerging markets is further inflated prices. Like we witnessed in the case of iPhone X’s US version (cost $999), but when the device shipped to Pakistan the Pakistani e-commerce stores sold it as much as 200,000 PKR, which is above $2,100 in USD. But as Samsung has vast distribution network all over the world, including Pakistan as well, so it’s likely not going to happen, and the prices will remain under control.
Meanwhile, we also have a clear idea, when the Galaxies are going to hit the stores for real, but it’s not happening soon enough. So until then stay tuned with TechJuice and await the live streaming of Galaxy S9 variants launch which is happening via augmented reality models.
