Thrun is currently in the process of developing a Nanodegree program that will provide the necessary concepts on the working and manufacturing of flying cars. Although the time duration and fees of the course, haven’t yet been made public, the program is all set to launch soon and it could be out as early as next year.

As for as the other requirements of the course are concerned, the program is going to ask for pre-requisite knowledge in programming and mathematics. Richard Pat Anderson, the managing director at the Flight Research Center of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona, Florida says that it would be good to have a sound know-how of engineering mathematics before setting off with this course. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is being termed as the world’s largest university which offers education in aviation and aerospace related fields.

Flying cars may still seem to be a distant future tale, but with the swift progress which is going into next generation transportation technologies like smart cars and hyperloop, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the future is of flying cars.
