Instagram will turn photos you are replying to into stickers

Snapchat tested its “crowd surf” feature, which uses AI technology to stitch together video clips from various users attending the same concert to create one seamless video, a few days back to halt Instagram’s growing user base. Instagram in return has responded strongly by updating its platform, giving its users new features. At first, the company added comment thread option to its platform, enabling the users to follow the conversion with much ease. The same feature which Facebook users on its platform. And now the company has introduced a new way to reply to direct messages.

Instagram gives the option to users to reply to photos, videos sent to their direct messages with their own photos and videos. However, with this new update “a sticker will be included automatically in your reply”. One just needs to click on reply the camera will automatically open just take your picture and hit the send button. Easy isn’t it?

The company said in a blog post,

“You can now reply with a photo or video to specific photos, videos, and reshared posts in Direct. Your reply will automatically include a sticker of what you’re replying to. Just hit “reply” to open the camera, take a selfie, and send.”

Moreover, the company has also added another option to this new feature, it allows you to send a split-screen reply to the one who has sent you a message by just tapping on the sticker.

The company has rolled out this new feature on its iOS and Android apps.

Apart from these new updates, Instagram has also recently updated its “Stories” platform, enabling the users to reply with photos and videos. Additionally, the company is planning to add a new feature, which it is testing right now, to give its users access to go live with a friend on its platform.
