Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is finally official with a lot of improvements over the original Galaxy S8. The phone was previously leaked with some of its specifications.
The Galaxy S8 Active is the latest addition to the Galaxy S Active series. The Active series is for the people who use the phone very roughly as the phones in this series come with a lot of protection.
Take Galaxy S8 Active for example, it comes with MIL-STD-810G compliant which means that the phone has a metal frame and bumper which makes it salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, transport and thermal shock resistant. How cool is that? It means that you can use this phone literally anywhere, no matter if your hands are full of mud. Moreover, the phone will not get even a single scratch if you accidentally throw it from your hand.
Specification wise, the phone comes with the same 5.8-inch display with 1440 x 2960 resolution. The display, however, is not the Infinity Display. It comes with Snapdragon 835 chipset with Octa-core (4×2.35 GHz Kryo & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo) CPU and Adreno 540 GPU. There is no Exynos model. The camera is 12 MP, f/1.7 which is exactly same as the original Galaxy S8.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active comes with 4,000 mAh battery which is 1,000 mAh more than the original S8 and 500 mAh more than the Galaxy S8+. The more battery will make the phone last longer on a single charge. And of course, it comes with fast charging. The phone will be available in Meteor Gray and Titanium Gold color options.
