Nokia to launch 3 smartphones and the iconic 3310 this month

HMD Global, the new manufacturer of Nokia phones, is reportedly planning to unveil 3 Nokia smartphones and the iconic Nokia 3310 at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona this month.

A company’s spokesperson briefed VentureBeat about the company’s plans. The 3 smartphones include Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and already launched Nokia 6. HMD Global got the licensing rights to manufacture Nokia in December 2016. Nokia 6 has a full HD, 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 430, 4GB of RAM, 65GB internal storage, and 16MP primary and 8MP front camera. The Finnish manufacturer launched Nokia 6 only in China, for €249.

Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 will also be powered by Android and will have lower specs and price as compared to Nokia 6. Nokia 5 is rumored to be 5.2 inches with 2GB RAM and 12MP camera. The budgeted devices Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are expected to be sold for €149 and €199 respectively.

The biggest surprise comes with the comeback news of the indestructible Nokia 3310, a popular phone of 2000 known for long battery life, strong build and classical snake game. This phone is supposed to be relaunched as a second phone for the people using smartphones, for €59 only.

Recently, the design of Nokia P1 was leaked which is also rumored to be revealed at MWC. The phone is expected to be a high-end device with 5.3 inches display, 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 835 processor.

HMD Global will showcase Nokia 3, 5, 6 and 3310 at Mobile World Congress on February 26, 2017.
