Telenor conducts their 2nd Digital festival

In their efforts of bring digital connectivity to all, Telenor organized their second Digital Festival held at Islamabad’s Sales and Services Center. The event was attended by the likes of Anusha Rehman, Minister for Information Technology & Telecom and Dr. Ismail Shah, Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.

The main idea behind the festival was to highlight and celebrate a vast array of digital products and solutions that have been developed by Telenor. Many of the products shown at the Islamabad Digital Festival were the same as the ones unveiled at the Lahore Digital Festival which was held last month. The festival showcased a wide range of 3G handsets, internet devices, IoT products, mobile applications, mobile payments solutions and more. Live demos of engaging mobile applications such as Capture, WowBox and Pocket TV were also offered at the event.

Ever since unveiling their report for Realizing Digital Pakistan”, Telenor has been bent on achieving their goal. In a span of six months, Telenor has taken the lead in launching IoT products in the country. They have their own startup accelerator Velocity and Ignite, an employee-only intra-organization incubator. The cellular operator also recently won the bid to become Pakistan’s third 4G provider. Telenor is on a roll and we are interested in what they plan to do next!
