While YouTube Music may not be as dominant as industry leaders like Spotify and Apple Music, it remains one of the top music streaming platforms today. A major factor in its continued relevance is the regular introduction of new features. Staying true to this approach, the app is now unveiling a significant design update, aimed at helping users quickly access an artist’s most popular tracks.
The artist’s page now features a carousel of four tracks that can be scrolled horizontally. This carousel includes a total of twenty songs spread across five pages. This feature eliminates the need to interact with extra buttons to view all the top tracks, making it easier for users to quickly explore the hits of a new artist.
Streamlining the Search for New Tunes
You can easily start listening to every song in the carousel with the convenient “Play All” button, a familiar feature on YouTube Music. If 20 tracks aren’t enough to get a full sense of an artist’s catalog, simply use the chevron to access the complete collection.
The newly revamped “Top Songs” section is now available on both iOS and Android. However, the updated carousel and “Play All” buttons are not yet visible on these platforms, suggesting that the feature is being rolled out gradually. It appears that the redesign isn’t tied to the current version of YouTube Music, meaning it will likely be part of a server-side update in the coming days or weeks.
Similar carousels are already featured in other sections of the app, such as “Quick Picks” on the Home tab, “Covers and Remixes,” and “Trending in Shorts.” This new addition aligns with the familiar layout, so regular users should find it easy to navigate.
