The WhatsApp default emoji reaction set is getting a little makeover in preparation for the holidays and the new year. The following emoji reactions are pre-set in WhatsApp: 👍, ❤️, 😂, 😮, 😎, and 🙏. In a recent update, WhatsApp has included the party popper emoji (🎉) with an accompanying animation, bringing it to the seventh position on the list.
Not long ago, it was discovered that the messaging giant was experimenting with personalized emoji reply lists.
Additionally, the party popper emoji would not have needed to be added to the seventh spot if personalized reply emoji lists had already been released. It is reasonable to temporarily add a festive element while the latter is still in beta.
According to WABetaInfo, the Party Popper emoji is now available on iOS and Android as the seventh default reaction. WhatsApp 2.24.25.77 for Android and 24.25.89 for iOS both have the emoji on the list.
Additionally, the gallery attachment screen has been improved on the same WhatsApp version. Users can now see their chat while searching their device’s gallery for the ideal attachment (paperclip icon → Gallery), as the former full-screen image attachment UI appears to have been substituted with a half-screen bottom page.
The half-screen sheet can be expanded into a full-screen layout. It also has an album switcher at the top, which can be used to change between “Recents,” “Camera,” “Videos,” “WhatsApp,” and other options.
Keep in mind that the sheet will always show the most recent items by default. Additionally, you can find a quality switcher on the same sheet that allows you to choose between sending the image in default or high definition. The revamped attachment sheet user interface is now live on both iOS and Android.
