Searches around key matchups, including Pakistan’s games against India, England, and Australia, were consistently high. The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 generated considerable interest, as individuals sought information regarding schedules, contests, and player performances.
Prominent individuals such as Shoaib Malik and Sajid Khan garnered significant attention, while Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem became a widely sought-after figure following his momentous victory.
In entertainment, Pakistani dramas and Bollywood films emerged as prominent focal points. The inquiries regarding “Ishq Murshid” and “Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum” exemplified the persistent allure of regional productions, whereas films such as “Animal,” “Dunki,” and “Stree 2” garnered considerable attention from audiences beyond national boundaries.

The report additionally disclosed an increasing trend in practical “how-to” inquiries, encompassing a diverse array of subjects, including polling stations and parental advice.
Farhan Qureshi, Google’s Country Director for Pakistan, commented, “This year’s Year in Search reflects a nation deeply rooted in its traditions, while also embracing the opportunities the digital age presents. From cricket fields to kitchen counters, from the big screen to the search bar, Pakistanis are using Google to explore, connect, and grow.”
