Peshawar Faces Disruption in Mobile and Internet Services

Written by Tech Desk ·  49 sec read >

Citizens of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, are facing challenges due to disruptions in mobile phone and internet services in several places.

Mobile signals in Peshawar are partially down. Residents claim very poor internet connectivity and the disappearance of cell phone signals in some areas of the city.

Some locals have complained that they can’t get any cell phone signals or internet access at all. For a few days now, Peshawar’s mobile networks have been partially down, which has made it difficult for users to perform online purchases and use other services. Additionally, the causes of this disruption have not yet been disclosed.

It’s important to note that the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) stated yesterday that internet issues are expected to be resolved by the end of October. This means that people will have to deal with these problems for the rest of the month.

Based on information from PTA sources, the Web Management System installation and upgrade is expected to be finished by October 20. Installing WMS will help in protecting the internet system from attacks.

Due to PTI protests, internet and cellphone services in Islamabad were down throughout the weekend. Key areas, including parts of the Islamabad Motorway, Murree Road, Faizabad Interchange, D Chowk, and several other major routes, were also sealed off as a result of the protests. Internet services were unavailable for nearly two days before being restored.
