The education sector in Islamabad is making significant progress in defining the direction of education under the Federal Government’s Educational Reforms Program.

150 primary schools under the Federal Directorate of Education(FDE) will start computer and artificial intelligence (AI) classes in the upcoming week.

According to official sources, the aim of this initiative is not about teaching students how to use technology; it is about preparing the foundation for a generation that will be ready for a world that is fast becoming digital.

The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and the Ministry of Federal Education have collaborated to ensure that the curriculum is up-to-date, relevant, and modern.

This new initiative will make the curriculum focused on fundamental computer skills as well as an understanding of AI ideas, based on feedback from top tech businesses. This will allow the young students to explore the digital world and its opportunities engagingly and imaginatively, equipping them to become tomorrow’s tech innovators.

The IT architecture of the schools will also be significantly improved and students will have access to hardware and resources from contemporary technology to enable experimentation and creation. The program’s significance is further demonstrated by the highly skilled and experienced computer fellows who will be supporting them.

This program fully aligns with the government’s overarching goal of raising digital literacy in Pakistan and it will fill the current skills gap in technology and prepare students for a wide range of career opportunities in the industry.

For parents and educators, this is the start of a new and interesting era. Parents who enroll their children in these lessons can anticipate that they will grow up to confront opportunities in the future with the knowledge and abilities necessary to navigate the complex world of computers.

With the launch of these types of programs, Islamabad can generate a new generation of inventors, idea-sellers, and leaders in the technology-based economy with this progressive vision.
