LAHORE: The Global IT Certifications Program has been launched by the Punjab Government in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board(PITB) under the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. This will seek to establish more than 40 internationally accredited certifications for at least 10,000 people in Punjab.
The targeted beneficiaries of this project will be given the chance to secure certifications from some of the biggest tech giants like Google, Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, IBM, and Oracle among others provided that the beneficiary is a domicile in Punjab and possesses a valid CNIC. The program aims to prepare students and professionals in Punjab with skills and certifications that will enable them to work in any international IT Market.
After receiving certificates, participants can request full reimbursement of fees through the program, which means that affordable, credible international certifications are available to everyone. This initiative will enable the professional to present their skills at the international level thus enhancing the personal growth of the professional and the province as a whole on the global map in the information technology field.
In this regard, Chairman Faisal Yousaf remarked, “This initiative is set to play a pivotal role in empowering Punjab’s talent, helping individuals unlock new career opportunities, and positioning them for success in a rapidly evolving digital world. It will open doors for professionals to showcase their abilities on a global stage, enhancing both personal growth and the province’s presence in the global IT sector,” he added.
How to apply?
Registration for the program is now open. People can apply themselves at this website address https://certifications.pitb.gov.pk/.Individuals after choosing the needed certification from the portal can proceed to pay for the certification and complete it. After the final certification, the student can apply for an amount refund in the fee structure.
