Current Account:
There are 2 types of people who can apply for a current account at UBL:
- Salaried individual (Age limit: 18 to 70 years old)
- Business owner (Age limit: 18 to 70 years old)
Salaried individual:
To apply for a current account at UBL, you need to collect the following documents:
- CNIC
- Proof of employment (through an employment verification letter)
- Copy of your utility bills
Business owner:
Collect and submit the following documents to the bank if you want to open a current account at UBL:
- CNIC
- Proof of business
After you’ve submitted these documents, you’d also need to pay a minimum fee of 1000 PKR for account opening and will also need to maintain a minimum balance of 1000 PKR for account maintenance.

To apply for a savings account at UBL, you need to collect the following documents:
- CNIC

Business owner:

- Proof of business
After submitting these documents you’d also need to pay a minimum fee of 100 PKR for account opening while no minimum balance is required for account maintenance.
The projected profit rates for UBL saving account applicable from the month of august are 11.25%
Features of Savings Account:
- No limitation on withdrawals
- Profit payment is on half-yearly basis.
- Profit is calculated on a monthly average balance.
Asaan Account:
You can also open an Asaan Account if you’re not the type of person who likes to deal with the arduous intricacies of account opening documentation.
You can open your Asaan Account with 100 PKR and the only documentation required is your CNIC.
Features of Asaan Account:
- The flexibility of Opening Current or Savings Account
- No minimum balance required
- Free Debit Card issuance.
- No Service Charges for account opening or closing
- Total Debit per month up to 500,000 PKR.
- Total credit balance limit up to 500,000 PKR.
