These are the top 5G smartphones unveiled so far

The future of mobile connectivity is 5G and all the telecom and smartphone companies around the world are catching up to this trend. The 5G trend is gaining traction and this new technology promises faster speeds, lower latency and is making revolutionary changes in various technology sectors around the world.

Telecommunication companies, chipmakers, and major smartphone brands including Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, LG among others are launching their 5G enabled services and smartphones. China was the first country to launch 5G services in the country followed by the US.

Here’s a look at the top 5G smartphones announced so far.

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G:

Samsung has taken a dive into the 5G river with the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, which is the superfast variant of the Samsung Galaxy S10 handset.

The Galaxy S10 5G will feature a 6.7-inch QHD AMOLED display, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage space. It has a huge 4,500mAh battery with the same reversible wireless charging capability as that of the other S10 phones. Samsung hasn’t revealed the launch date of the Galaxy S10 5G but the handset is expected to roll out soon.

Huawei Mate X:

Huawei Mate X, the foldable rival of the famous Samsung Galaxy Fold will also feature the 5G technology in it. Huawei unveiled its Mate X smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2019 and it is a seriously good looking handset with fast upload and download speeds to go with it.

The Mate X features an 8-inch display, with Kirin 980 processor, 8GB of RAM and 512GB of huge storage space in it. Huawei has added Balong 5000 multi-mode 5G chipset in Mate X for amazing internet experience for its users. It also features a large 4500 mAh battery.

Oppo Reno 5G:

A recent addition to the Oppo family is its sub-brand Reno and will feature 5G flagship phones under this name.

The Oppo Reno features a 6.6-inch, 1,080 x 2,340 Gorilla Glass 6 display, with Qualcomm components and technology. The phone also features a large 4056 mAh battery, and a 10x lossless hybrid zoom camera. It has a wizzy pop-up style selfie camera and the latest version of Oppo’s ColorOS software, ColorOS 6. The Reno device will run on the new Android 9.0 Pie.

LG V50 ThinQ:

The South Korean electronics firm LG launched its all-new LG V50 ThinQ at the MWC 2019 event in Barcelona. The handset becomes a dual screen foldable phone when you attach the second accessory for a second display.

The LG V50 features a Snapdragon 855 processor, a 6.4-inch QHD+ OLED display and a triple lens camera system at the rear side of the smartphone. The real selling point of this handset is the latest 5G technology, but the overall specifications of the handset are quite good as well.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3:

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G smartphone will be available in the market this year in May 2019. The Mi Mix 3 device packs a pretty big punch even without the 5G feature. It has a magnetically sliding 6.39-inch bezel-less display, with 93.4% screen-to-body ratio.

The hardware of the device includes a 10GB of RAM and a 256GB of storage space in it. The smartphone features a dual rear camera system with 24MP plus 2MP extra sensor and a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor.

Other smartphone companies are planning to release their 5G enabled devices in the coming months as well. But until then, these are the top 5G smartphones that have been announced so far.
