The 9th Pakistan Telecon 2016 with the support of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) will be held on May 17, 2016 at the Marriott Hotel Islamabad. Organized by Shamrock, the theme of the conference is “At the Crossroads of Revolutionary Technology Challenges”
Syed Ismail Shah, Chairman, PTA will be delivering the keynote address whilst eminent speakers, experts and panelist will be dilating in the four dedicated sessions on regulatory, technology, ICT Entrepreneurship and Social Impact, respectively.
Coinciding with the World Telecom Day 2016, the annual assembly of key stakeholders from Pakistan’s telecom, IT, financial, social and related sectors, will focus on major developments from a regulatory perspective, including the Telecom Policy and the recently tabled Cybercrime Bill 2016. In addition, updates on emerging technologies, e-commerce, e-education, Internet-of-Things (IoT), start-ups and social impact of entrepreneurship.

An interesting aspect of Telecon will be the interactive panel discussion hovering on the global theme of World Telecom Day 2016, “ICT Entrepreneurship for Social Impact” which will feature inputs from startups to lending by commercial banks, to success stories and e-education.
