ISLAMABAD: The deployment of advanced IT equipment in 80 government girls schools across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) has been announced by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training in collaboration with Unesco Pakistan. This is a significant development aimed at improving digital educational opportunities for girls.
The decision was made at a meeting led by the secretary of Federal Education, which also had a team from Unesco and other high-level officials. The secretary supported the plan and stressed how important it was for closing the gap in schooling in Pakistan’s remote areas.
The groundbreaking project will provide cutting-edge IT tools to eight districts in AJ&K and GB, making smart classroom technology available to girls in elementary school. Interactive tools, digital content, and personalized learning interfaces are used in smart classrooms so that students can connect with their lessons in dynamic as well as meaningful ways.
Adding these high-tech tools will make the learning environment better for young girls in these areas, encouraging them to be creative, think critically, and solve problems.
The plan also includes a customized program to help teachers improve their skills so they can effectively use technology in the classroom. The program will teach teachers how to use AI-powered tools in their lessons, which will speed up the teaching and learning process and help students learn more.
The most important thing for this shift to go smoothly is to train local teachers so that they can make a learning environment that is welcoming and supportive for all girls in primary schools in AJ&K and GB.
The secretary said, “This is a valuable gift for the girls of these marginalized areas. The new equipment and capacity building of teachers will open doors for young girls to access a world-class education regardless of their location, and it underscores our commitment to equitable and inclusive education.”
Additionally, the training program for teachers and the use of IT tools in schools show that the Ministry and Unesco both want Pakistan’s education system to be innovative and open to everyone. These initiatives have the potential to equip female students with the tools they need to succeed in today’s technologically advanced society.
