An entrepreneur is always seeking two three things. Either there is a will to change how things work in an environment, or a desire to make it go huge. If not either of them then there is a talent that an entrepreneur always seeks to exhibit to the public for the sake of appreciation and monetary benefits (as obvious). There are many people who only leave job or risk doing a thing of their own to make the world notice how good they are and eventual fate is always a success provided that it has got its due share of hard work.
To motivate all such people who want to inspire themselves to become entrepreneurs in the future, we believe they should just enjoy their coming weekend watching these movies to seek inspiration.
This turns out to be the one fine movie directed by South Indian director Mani Ratnam. The movie is rumored to have been a story of the Indian business magnate Dhirubhai Ambani and his Reliance Group venture. If it is true then the movie is an inspiration to so many across the sub-continent in particular and the world in general. The story shows the journey of a school teacher’s son from a blue collar job in Turkey to an owner of India’s largest public limited chemicals business. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan alongside Aishwarya Rai. The story has the goods and the bads of the society and of a businessman to rise through the ranks. One can always take the good ones and avoid the bad ones.
The movie was released as a Made-for-Television on TNT in 1999. The movie is based on a book named Fire in the Valley: The Making of The Personal Computer. The most interesting thing is the main plot which covers the span of 1971 to 1997 showcasing the rivalry of Steve Jobs (Apple & NeXT) and Bill Gates (Microsoft). Many who will watch the movie for the first time and have been unknown to the history of computers might not know what Apple was even way back in 1980, when Microsoft wasn’t even registered on papers. The story is one fine rivalry and truly depicts the portrayal of two people with different mindsets. The two great companies are solely reflecting the ideologies these great minds had. Not a star-studded cast but a fine movie to seek inspiration and a joy to watch as it is a comedy for the most part.
A true story of Chris Gardner (portrayed by Will Smith) highlighting his journey from homelessness to a full time job in a brokerage firm and end titles showing Chris Gardner with his own multi-million dollar firm. The movie always makes one feel that if he can pull it off from such a disastrous start why cannot anyone from us. Chris Gardner was just a human being with a will to end the poverty-stricken life he was pushed into, every coming day. The acting also earned Will Smith an Oscar nomination.
The movie is almost accurate depiction of Mark Zuckerberg’s rise to fame from a dorm room invention to the world’s largest social network, The Facebook. With every 5th person using it and every 6th being an active user it makes one curious how was it pulled off. The movie has a bit of added drama to keep the commercial feel alive unlike The Pirates of the Silicon Valley. However, even then Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin and Winklevoss brothers are very well portrayed. With 8 Oscar nominations and 3 wins it turned out to be one fine movie of 2010. The best of it was the cover of the movie which said, “You don’t get to five million friends without making a few enemies”. Well for now there are no enemies and thrice as many friends and an addition of many shareholders as well.
The movie motivates one to be hardworking and helping individual. Yet again like a few previous ones, it is based on a true story of an Iranian immigrant but has been slightly modified by director Steven Speilsberg. It shows a man (Tom Hanks) that has a passport that belongs to a country which no longer exists as an independent state. The journey of his next few months in the airport dealing with authorities, making few friends and even earning money is worth a watch.
A movie made on a novel of Stephen King with Tim Robbins in the lead role and Morgan Freeman in supporting role as well as a narrator makes it one of the finest movies to have ever produced. It is voted as the best all time movie in the IMDB’s list of top 250. The story is about a banker who finally realizes that he has had his share of the punishment for killing his wife. He makes his education count at the prison during those 19 years and then leaves everyone amused at the end. Do watch it to seek motivation of what man’s endless thinking can bring about. And for that one needs just a little motivation.
