1500 Govt schools will be converted to ‘Science Technology schools’, Fawad Ch

In his struggle to provide digital education to students of government schools, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has recently announced his ambition to convert the government schools across the country into well-equipped “Science technology schools”. Fawad Ch was talking to a private News channel where he revealed his ambition along with a promise to establish DNA laboratory.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the technology will boost economic and industrial growth of Pakistan. He said that they have selected 1500 government schools in the first phase of their program to introduce technology-based education in them. “The program will equip government students to compete with other students from any part of the world”, he added.

Science and Technology Minister also elaborated that this development will be made possible with the collaboration of the Ministry of Education. The education ministry will then provide modern technology in ‘Science technology schools’ to make schools the centers of knowledge.

While stressing on the need of adopting digital tools of learning, he said that,

“We have to support our technology companies and facilitate our future generation to acquire scientific and technological education to meet the latest requirements.”

Meanwhile, the minister also proposed to establish the Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) laboratory which will be operational by March 2020, while talking to the same local News channel.

Last week, Fawad Ch announced that August will be celebrated as the month of Science and Technology in Pakistan. He also said that an international science conference will be arranged on August 31, where scientists of reputed international institutes will be invited to deliver guidance to creative thinkers. The minister also posted a Tweet saying that the registration for the sci-tech fair will open from July 1.
